  	Joseph Stansfield died of typhoid fever at the home of his brother, Samuel Stansfield, September 11, aged thirty-five years, five months and seventeen days. Mr. Stansfield was the son of Giles and Jane Stansfield, and was a native of Lancashire, England. In 1889 he came from England to East Bluehill where, except at short intervals, he has since resided. Mr. Stansfield was a paving breaker. He went to Wisconsin last April to work at his trade. From there he went to Lythonia, Georgia, where he contracted a fever. He came home Aug. 19, and the next day was confined to his bed. His brothers Samuel, Ellis and John, and their wives were with him during his last illness, and he was tenderly cared for by them and his neighbors. Mr. Stansfield was honest, straight-forward young man and had many friends. The funeral was held at the Methodist Chapel Aug. 13, Rev. J. D. McGraw officiating. Interment was at Seaside Cemetery.
