[June 1943] -- Funeral services for Boyd Bonham, 85, who died on Thursday, June 3 1943, were held on Saturday, at 2 p.m. from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Stanley Wolfe of Muhlenburg, with whom he had resided since the death of his wife three years ago.
Rev. J.B. Meloy officiated at the services. Burial was in the Bloomingdale cemetery.
He was the son of the late Joshua and Armanda Van Horn Bonham.
Prior to his retirement several years ago due to ill health, he was engaged in the building and contracting business. His wife, the former Rebecca Askew, died three years ago.
Survivors are Mrs. Elizabeth Benscoter, Mrs. Clara Wolfe, Mrs. Mildred Search, Boyd and Russel Bonham, all of Muhlenburg; Liva Bonham, Mt. Kisco, N.Y.; Fred Bonham, Kingston; and Harrison Bonham, of Brentwood, Md. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. William Diehly of Nanticoke. [Source: unidentified newspaper] |
