He was the son of Samuel H. Penrod and Margaret E. Holcomb. Vivian was born Dec 8, 1877 in Bearfield, Perry, Ohio and died ?. She was the daughter of Erasmus A. Alton and Phebe C. Shick. Murray and Vivian has two children that I know of; Murray Alton Penrod born Nov 11, 1917 and Lorena M. Penrod born about 1922.
