- Donald J. Rine April 11, 1924 - February 18, 2011 Donald Joseph Rine, 86, a cottage resident at the Oaks of Pleasant Gap, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was born April 11, 1924, in Bellefonte, a son of Joseph W. and Helen (Gordon) Rine. On June 16, 1946, he married Mary Lois Krape. They were married for 60 years before her death in 2006. He attended Bellefonte High School before joining the Navy in 1942. After returning home, he earned his GED and worked for Titan Metal Manufacturing Company in Bellefonte. When Titan became Cerro Brass, he worked for the company in California and Connecticut. He retired from the Waterbury Button Company in Waterbury, Conn. Mr. Rine is survived by his son, Craig (Maureen), of Southbury, Conn.; two daughters, Patricia Antolosky (Paul), of Bellefonte, and Kathy Biagioni (Daniel), of Oxford, Conn.; a brother, Philllip (Nancy), of Youngstown, Ohio; five grandchildren, Brent, Heather and Todd (Marilyn) Rine, Katelyn and Jordan Biagioni; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by a son, Richard Rine; and two sisters, Virginia R. Weaver and Betty R. Hazel. There will be no public visitation, but a memorial service will be held at the Oaks at a later date.
