In the late 1960's Ruth was instrumental in forming the Nine Notes, a singing group of nine women who performed at events in the area. Later in her life Ruth took piano lessons and spent many hours playing the piano. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. As a member of the Howard Civic Club, she helped to beautify the community by planting flowers throughout town for several years. Ruth is survived by four daughters: Cynthia M.
