- Naomi K. Pletcher, 84, of Garden Spot Village, passed away June 14, 2010 after a long illness. She was the wife of Paul J. Pletcher with whom she shared 49 years of marriage on April 22.
She was born March 7, 1926 in Goodville to the late Ira and Lillie (Sauder) Kurtz.
She grew up in Terre Hill where she was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church where she sang in the choir and was active in church.
After graduation, she worked at Blue Ball National Bank. She later worked at Sperry New Holland where she worked in the finance department for 13 years. While at the company, she sang in the company chorus. In 1965, she took on the job as homemaker to raise her son. During this time, she worked part time in the office at the New Holland Sales Stables. Naomi enjoyed music and brought joy to others with her talent for playing the piano.
Besides her husband, Paul J. Pletcher, she is survived by a son, Michael K. Pletcher of Allentown. She is also survived by seven nieces, three nephews, and seven grand nieces and nine grand nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 19, at 11 AM at the Garden Spot Village Chapel with Pastor Al Hoffman officiating. Interment will be in Terre Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the chapel on Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. If desired, memorials may be sent to the Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557. The Groff-High-Eckenroth Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
