- CROOKSVILLE -- Robert L. Eveland, 88, of Midland, Mich., formerly of Crooksville, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at a Midland hospital.
He was born March 12, 1916, in McLuney, the son of the late Mary Fleming Eveland and Vernon C. Eveland. He retired in 1977 from General Motors Co. in Columbus. He enjoyed the fellowship of the Masonic bodies, golf and traveling.
He first married E. Marguerite Penrod Eveland on Dec. 24, 1934, who died Sept. 19, 1969. On Aug. 14, 1993, he married Loretta Savage Wilson Eveland. She survives in Midland.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann Boyer of Dunn, N.C. and Connie (Bill) Dunn of Marion; a brother, M. Stephen of California; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and his wife's family.
No calling hours will be observed. Burial will be in Iliff Cemetery, near Crooksville.
Arrangements are being handled by Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.
