Born May 14, 1939 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Kline "Jim" and Thelma (Johnson) Wolf. He married Delores J. Thomas, and together they celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Pete graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School in 1957, where he became the 1st District 6 wrestling champion from Bald Eagle. He continued his education and wrestling career at the University of Maryland and Lock Haven University. During the 20 years he was head coach, his wrestlers won 28 District Championships and 21 Regional Championships, and he coached 15 state place winners, and 8 State Champions. Following his retirement as the head wrestling coach he became the Athletic Director and was the assistant wrestling coach for many years. Pete was member of the Moreland Baptist Church and the Pennsylvania Council of Alcohol Prevention. He graduated from the Christian Leadership Institute and was active as a Lay Leader for many years. Pete was a man of great faith and enjoyed studying and teaching biblical principles.
Along with his lifelong wrestling career and Christian ministry he enjoyed spending time with horses, and many activities with his family.
