FALL RIVER --- Rita Fontes, 63, of 292 Flint St. died Monday after an illness. She was the wife of Manuel C. Fontes.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Edward Fluet and Rosilda (Belanger) Fluet. She was a lifelong resident of the city and a communicant of Espirito Santo Church.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Barbara Fontes of Danielson, Conn.; sister, Lauretta Machado of Fall River; two brothers, Edward Fluet of Fall River and Norman Fluet of Vernon, Conn.; and a grandson.
The funeral will be held today at 8 a.m. from the A.F. Almeida & Son Funeral Home, 1309 Globe St., with a funeral Mass at 9 in Espirito Santo Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetary.
