- Sharon Kotzur August 19, 1950 May 16, 2015 Sharon Kotzur, 64 of Howard, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Hershey Medical Center. She was born on August 19, 1950, in Lock Haven, the daughter of the late Clyde Counsil and Alma Jane Pickering Counsil who survives in Flemington, Pa. On July 25, 1969, she married Michael L. Kotzur who preceded her in death on November 9, 2009. She attended Great Island Presbyterian Church in Lock Haven. She was a personal care aid at Wingate Elementary. She was a graduate of Lock Haven High School, Class of 1968. Sharon loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her job immensely, especially the children she got to work with. She is survived by a daughter, Kerri S. (Bradley) Comly; a son, Thomas M. (Jennifer) Kotzur, both of Howard; a sister, Alicia (Robert) Peters, of East End; four brothers, Eugene (Lois) Counsil, of Mechanicsburg, Jerome (Terri) Counsil, of Lock Haven, Timothy (Cheryl) Counsil, of Mill Hall, and William (Laurie) Counsil, also of Mill Hall; two grandchildren, Tessa and Brayden Comly; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Howard, with the Rev. Benjamin Linn officiating. Friends and family will be received from 6:00 - 8:00 on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery.
