- Daniel R. Weaver October 5, 1932 November 15, 2015 Daniel R. Weaver, 83, of Centre Hall, died Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. He was born October 5, 1932, in Altoona, a son of the late Grover and Bessie Weaver. On May 5, 1958, he married Marie (Dorman) Weaver who preceded him in death on February 5, 2015. Dan served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1955. He belonged to the American Legion Post 779, Centre Hall, and was a lifetime bowler. He enjoyed numerous activities throughout his life, including camping, gardening and fishing. Dan and his wife loved traveling to Atlantic City and spending time with their granddaughter. Surviving Dan are two sons, John T. (Jane) Weaver, of Boalsburg and Gary L. (Denise) Weaver, of Pleasant Gap; one granddaughter, Alicia Weaver (John Witherite), of Port Matilda; two great-granddaughters, Allison and Gracelyn Witherite, of Port Matilda; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and William Weaver; and one sister, Florence Wilkins. Friends and family will be received from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral & Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA 16828; the service will follow with the Reverend Rick Gilbaugh officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
