- William C. "Bill" Confer Jr., 60, of Bellefonte died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 in Howard.
He was born in Lock Haven on March 7, 1952, a son of the late William C. Sr. and Mary "Nell" Daughenbaugh Confer.
He married Sandy Hensal who survives at their home.
Bill was a 1970 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and received his Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University in 1974.
He was owner and operator of Confer Trucking of Howard where he had worked all of his life.
He was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church.
He is survived by one brother, Robert "Bob" (Deb) Confer of Howard; two nieces, Stacy Confer and Jaimie (Beau) du Bois; and one nephew, Robert L. Confer.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Confer.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 135 W. Main St., Howard. Father Charles Amershek will officiate. There will be no viewing.
