  Obituary	Thomas J. Confer 59 of Howard passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Oxford Valley Hospital, Levittown, Pa. Tom was born June 16, 1948 in Lock Haven, Pa. a son of the late William C. and Mary E. Daughenbaugh Confer. Tom graduated from Penn State in 1975 with a Bachelors in Law Enforcement & Corrections. He was a co-owner of Confer Trucking in Howard, Pa. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Howard where he served in many capacities. He belonged to the Bellefonte Elks & Tom was a member of the Bellefonte Lodge No. 268, Free & Accepted Masons. He enjoyed Mineral Collecting. Tom is survived by 2 brothers; Robert D. & his wife Deborah Confer; William C. Confer Jr. all of Howard, Pa. He is also survived by 2 nieces & a nephew; Stacey, Robert L., and Jaimie Confer. Private services at the familes convenience at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard, with the Rev. Ruth Donahue officiating. Burial will be at Schencks Cemetery.

  Thomas J. Confer, 59, of Howard, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008 at Oxford Valley Hospital in Levittown. He was born June 16, 1948 in Lock Haven, a son of the late William C. and Mary E. Daughenbaugh Confer. Tom graduated from Penn State University in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in law enforcement and corrections. He was a co-owner of Confer Trucking in Howard. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Howard, where he served in many capacities. Tom belonged to the Bellefonte Elks and was a member of Bellefonte Lodge No. 268 Free & Accepted Masons. He enjoyed mineral collecting. He is survived by two brothers, Robert D. and his wife Deborah Confer and William C. Confer Jr., all of Howard, and two nieces and a nephew, Stacey, Robert L. and Jaimie Confer. Private services will be held at the family's convenience, with the Rev. Ruth Donahue officiating. Burial will be in Schencks Cemetery, Howard Township. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kader-Neff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 135 W. Main St., Howard.
