  Gerald E. 'Cotton' Holter, 78, of 20 Oriole Road, Lock Haven, died Nov. 5, 2004 in Lititz. Born Aug. 30, 1926 in Orviston, he was the son of the late Edgar A. and Velma Shawley Holter. He and Peggy L. Heller Holter were married Jan. 20, 1956. She survives. He was a 1944 graduate of Beech Creek High School and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He retired after 42 years in the aircraft industry and drove cars for MacIntyre's, Lock Haven University and private transportation for the last 15 years. He was a member of East Main Street United Methodist Church, Lafayette Lodge No. 199, Jaffa Shrine and National Rifle Association. Surviving are three sons, David E. Eck of Lamar, Rodney P. Holter of Albuquerque, N.M. and Richard A. Holter of Lock Haven; a brother, Bruce A. Holter of Las Vegas, Nev. and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edrie Johnson and Elaine Dickey. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004 at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Rev. Bruce Wallace will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Main Street United Methodist Church.
