- Nancy Jeannette Klein March 21, 1931 August 24, 2016 Nancy Jeannette Klein, age 85, of Beloit, WI died Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Beloit Memorial Hospital after as short illness. She was born March 21, 1931 in Howard, Pennsylvania the daughter of Albert and Nancy (Schenck) Coder. She graduated from Howard High School and went to Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing. After completing her degree in nursing she continued her education by becoming a Nurse Anesthetist. While in nurses training she met her future husband Bertram Klein. After completing his tour in the Air Force they married in Boalsburg, PA and moved to Janesville. She worked a short time at the Janesville Hospital then they moved to Beloit where she became employed at the old Beloit Hospital on Olympian Blvd. She took some time off of work to raise their only child Allen. After that she went on to work for the Beloit Hospital for 35 years. Nancy was the sixth child in a family of seven children. Nancy enjoyed golfing in the Women's Tuesday Morning League. She was noted for her dish cloths and afghans. She made many lap blankets which were donated to nursing homes. Visiting shut-ins was another of her pleasures. We wish to thank the staff of Intermediate Care and Intensive Care Unit at Beloit Memorial Hospital for their super care. She is survived by her husband Bertram, her son Allen, her sisters Rachael (Edward) Yarnell and Mary (Edward) Pallo and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sisters, May (Tony) Pletcher, Lucy (Charles) Kyle, Rebecca (Elmer) Metz and Paul (Anna) Coder. Graveside Services for Nancy will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in the Baldwin Cemetery in the Town of Beloit. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
