- Florence J. McClure November 21, 1926 April 4, 2016 Florence J. McClure, 89, of Milesburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016, at her home. Born on November 21, 1926, in Howard, she was the daughter of the late Roy C. and Catherine "Katie" Holt Thompson. On November 3, 1951, at the Fairview Church in Howard, she married William B. McClure, who passed away on September 6, 2005. Florence is a 1944 graduate of the Howard High School. After graduation, she worked at Sylvania in Mill Hall for a number of years. She became a stay at home mom and a homemaker once her children were born. She is a member of the Faith Chapel United Methodist Church in Hunter Run. She was also a member of the Howard Grange and Woodmen of the World. She enjoyed gardening and going for walks. Florence is survived by her three sons: Gary W. McClure, of Milesburg, Denis R. McClure and his wife, Cheryl, of Beech Creek and Robert M. McClure and his wife, Kelly Jo, of Port Matilda. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two brothers: Earl Thompson, of Howard and Arlin Thompson and his wife, Sharon, also of Howard. Along with her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 10:3011:30 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Schenck's Cemetery in Howard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Faith Chapel United Methodist Church, 551 Hunter Run Rd., Howard, PA 16841. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Main St., Howard.
