- Anna Mae Wink, 82, passed away at the Lock Haven Extended Care Unit, where she had been a resident for the past two years. Castanea was her home for many years prior to her illness.Born June 8, 1929 in Blanchard, she was the daughter of late William and Mae Eaton. Anna enjoyed her life as a homemaker spending her married years in Castanea and Lock Haven. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles and using her computer.Anna will be missed by her family, friends and the many patients and staff members she befriended at the Lock Haven Extended Care Unit. She rarely missed a bingo game on Thursday afternoons or the many other activities that were offered throughout the week. She always had a big smile for everybody.She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Norwood E. Wink; a daughter, Janice M. Ries and husband Albert of Lock Haven, a granddaughter, Cheryl M. Thompson of Indiana, PA and a grandson, Steven M. Thompson and wife Gina of Whitehall, PA.Two sisters, Betty Morasco of Flemington and Lorraine McCauley of Howard, also survive her in addition to many nieces and nephews.Along with her parents a brother, Richard Eaton and three sisters, Pauline Leathers, Isabelle Rupert, and Gloria Gardner preceded her in death.Funeral services for Anna Mae Wink will be held on Saturday Oct. 15, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven, PA. Officiating will be Pastor Roger G. Yoder of the Dunnstown United Methodist Church. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home Saturday morning one hour prior to the services at 11:00 Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Clinton County SPCA through the funeral home.
