  	Michael L. Confer May 20, 1957 - November 22, 2011 Michael L. Confer, 54, of Howard, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, in Liberty Township. He was born in Lock Haven on May 20, 1957, the son of the late Robert and Anna Shay Confer. He married Robyn Mills Confer, she survives at home. Mike was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and Williamsport Area Community College. He served in the banking industry for over 30 years, he was the manager of the Howard Bank for approximately 20 years and various other banks in the area. He was a former member of the Howard Fire Co. for many years and a member of the Howard Hunting Camp. Mike was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church. Along with his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Dyann M. Confer, of Julian; three step-daughters, Jill, Moriah, and Megan; two sons, Ryan M., of Austin, Texas, and Brandon M. and wife, Paige, of Jacksboro, Tenn.; and one sister, Deb Sneathen and husband, Donnie, of Gillette, Wyo.; four step-grandchildren; two nephews; one niece; and two grand nephews. Funeral will be Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, with Pastor Craig Rose officiating. There will be a visitation from 1-2 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Assoc.
