  Obituary	Glenn W. Thompson Glenn W. 'Pockets' Thompson, 69, of Howard, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center. He was born Feb. 16, 1936 in Howard, the son of the late Oscar W. and Pauline Confer Thompson. Mr. Thompson was married to Patricia Tate on Feb. 17, 2001 in Howard. She survives at home. His first wife, Mary Lohr Thompson, passed away in February of 2000. Mr. Thompson was a 1954 graduate of Howard High School and a 1957 graduate of Williamsport Tech. He was employed as a tool and dye maker at Cerro Metal for 15 years and was the owner of Thompson's Bait Shop and Sporting Goods and Bald Eagle Marina of Howard. He attended the Howard United Church of Christ. He was a member of the Pleasant Gap American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Bellefonte. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are one daughter, Sherri Thompson True of Howard; two sons, Glenn 'G.T.' Thompson and wife Penny, and Kenneth Thompson and his wife Jodi, both of Howard; one foster-son, Robert 'Bob' Hearn; two sisters, Lois and James Shay of Howard and Jessie and Thomas Rohner of Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren, Heather and Jessica DeHaas, Parker, Logan and Kale Thompson, Nikki and Kendra Thompson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald. The funeral will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 26, 2005 at the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard, with Rev. Jack Archer and Rev. Leatha Archer officiating. Burial will be at Schenck's Cemetery, Howard. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, 16828.

  Glenn W. "Pockets" Thompson Sr., 69, Howard, died on Monday, August 22, 2005 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born February 16, 1936 in Howard, he was the son of the late Oscar W. and Pauline Confer Thompson. On February 17, 2001, in Howard, he married Patricia Tate who resides at home. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lohr Thompson, who died in February 2000. Mr. Thompson was a 1954 graduate of Howard High School. He graduated from Williamsport Tech in 1957. He was a Navy veteran, having served during the Korean conflict. He was a tool and die maker at Cerro Metal for fifteen years. Mr. Thompson was also the owner of Thompson's Bait Shop & Sporting Goods and Bald Eagle Marina of Howard. He attended the Howard United Church of Christ.
