    • Janice M. Hoover, 68 of Howard, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

      She was born on September 4, 1941 in Lock Haven, the daughter of the late Robert Conklin and Mildred Brobeck Conklin of Howard.
      She was a member of the Lock Haven American Legion.
      Along with her mother, Mildred, she is survived by one daughter; Stacey E. Ladd and fiance William Swancer of Clarence. One brother; Bob Conklin and wife Andy of South Carolina and one sister; Lila Kuntz and husband Bill of Kennett Square. She was preceded in death by a sister Loretta Conklin.
      There will be a memorial service Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard with the Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
      Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
