He was past grand treasurer of United Commercial Travelers, past treasurer of Avion Palms of Bowling Green and member of Zion Lutheran Church in Centre Hall, Pa., American Association of Retired Persons, Avion Travel Club of America and Pennsylvania, Iowa and New York units of Ancient Mystic Order of Bagmen, Baghdad Imperial Guild. He is survived by his wife, Ila R.; a daughter, Cheryl Martin of Boalsburg; three sisters, Genevieve and Freda Bartow, both of Warriors Mark, and Leona Markle of Furnace, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
