BLANCHE ANNA BURNS
Mrs. Burns, 8, of Gatesburg, Warriors Mark RD 1, died at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 1983, in her residence, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Burns had been custodian at the Gatesburg Lutheran Church for more than 45 years.
She was born March 15, 1902, in Ferguson Township, Centre County, the daughter of George and Anna (Shuey) Rossman, and June 14, 1922, in Pine Grove Mills, married Clair F. Burns, who died Aug. 29, 1982.
Surviving are five children: Leona Markle of Pennsylvania Furnace, Genevieve Barto and Freda Barto of Gatesburg, Harold of Boalsburg and M. Kenneth of Warriors Mark RD 1; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister, Florence Harpster of Gatesburg.
Mrs. Burns was a member of the Gatesburg Lutheran Church and Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
She was a member of the Half Moon Garden Club and Half Moon WCTU.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Theodore J. Feller Memorial Home, Warriors Mark, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Gatesburg Lutheran Church.

BURNS -- Services for Blanche Anna Burns of Gatesburg, Warriors Mark RD 1, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Gatesburg Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Robert A. Heydenreich II. Interment in Gatesburg Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Theodore J. Feller Memorial Home, Warriors Mark, and 9:30 a.m. until time of services Wednesday in the church. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Gatesburg Lutheran Church, in care of David Dolbin, Box 169, Warriors Mark RD, 16877.
