  Obituary	Emily M. Leathers October 25, 1917 - September 25, 2009 Emily M. Leathers, 91, of Howard, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Susque-View Nursing Home. She was born on Oct. 25, 1917, in Mt. Carmel, a daughter of the late Percy and Mary Carl Merton. In 1935 she married Ralph O. Leathers who preceded her in death in 1984. She was the Assistant Bank Cashier at the former First National Bank of Howard for 45 years. She was an active member of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Howard. She is survived by L. Jean McCool and husband Tony, of Howard; one granddaughter, Beth Linn and husband Michael, of Lansdale; and great-grandson Spencer Linn, of Lansdale. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Leathers in 1955. Friends will be received Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 from 1-2 p.m. at the Main Street United Methodist Church, Howard. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Craig Q. Rose officiating.   Emily M. Leathers, 91 of Howard, passed away on September 25, 2009 at the Susque-View Nursing Home. She was born on October 25, 1917 in Mt. Carmel, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Mary Carl Merton. She was united in marriage to Ralph O. Leathers in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1984.
