- Helen L. Heverly July 2, 1917 - September 30, 2009 Helen L. Heverly, 92, of Bellefonte, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Helen was born in Lock Haven on July 2, 1917, a daughter of the late Comer and Florence Strunk Shope. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn R. "Shorty" Heverly and her first husband, Chester Weaver. She was a homemaker. Helen was a lifetime member of The Howard Church of Christ. She is survived by three sons, John C. Weaver and wife Beverly, of Howard, Craig R. Heverly and wife Junnie, of Howard, and Randy L. Heverly and wife Linda J., of Centre Hall; 10 grandchildren, Cindy, Joe, Doug, Mark, Nathan, Matthew, Jacob, Marci, Rachel, and Benjamin; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Louise, and a granddaughter, Jennifer. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at 11 a.m., at Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 135 W. Main St., Howard. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Schencks Cemetery, Howard Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Howard Church of Christ, c/o Kader-Neff Funeral Home, P.O. Box 108, Howard, PA 16841.
