Marian Reese. State College – Marian Ann Reese, 90, of State College passed away Thursday evening, September 7, 2000 at the Fairways of Brookline Village.
Born September 11, 1909 in Renovo, she was the daughter of the late James and Emma Burke Renehan.
She retired in 1974 as the chief operator for Bell Telephone. She was employed at Renovo, Ardmore and the Pittsburgh offices. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, State College.
On August 27, 1941, she was married at Renovo to Charles L. Reese, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Thomas James Renehan of State College.
A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, September 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Renovo, with Father Donald Boslett as the celebrant. Interment was made at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hyner.
The Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo was in charge of the arrangements.
Maian is buried in section 7.17.5 and listed in the cemetery book there is a marker there for her husband Charles L. in section 7.17.4, WWII, 1918- ( ). Charles remarried after Marian died, he died in 2011 and was buried at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, N.C. and not in St. Joseph’s at Hyner.
