- David S. Medeiros Sr., 77, of Little Compton, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Little Compton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Rocha) Medeiros. He was a lifelong resident of Little Compton.
Mr. Medeiros was a self-employed carpenter for 50 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one son, Andrew S. Medeiros and his wife Melissa; three grandchildren, Lily, Nicholas and Andrew Medeiros, and his companion Ann Costa. He was predeceased his son David S. Medeiros Jr., a brother Joseph Medeiros and a sister Lorraine Silvia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at noon at St. Catherine of Sienna, on The Commons, Little Compton. Burial will follow in Our lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton. Visiting hours are Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., at the Fern Acres Funeral Home, 72 Willow Avenue, Little Compton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Foundation of Rhode Island, 209 Cottage St., Pawtucket RI 02860 would be appreciated.
