  Gideon was a 1st Lt. in the Revolutionary Regiment of Associated Exempts, Charlotte Precinct, Dutchess County, NY. He moved to PA with his brother Jeremiah in 1778 near Susquehanna now Jenkins and Osterhout farms at La Grange, PA. He moved on to Deleware County, OH in 1806 with sons William and Gideon Jr's families. They were there yet in 1823.
