Hirlinger, 82, a former resident of Renovo passed away, Monday, Sept, 8, 2014 at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo where he resided since December 2012.He was born in Kane, PA a son of the late Ray G. and Madge (Renehan) Hirlinger.He was married to the former Kathryn E. Geise on April 14, 1956. They celebrated 58 years of marriage together.Raymond was a graphic arts teacher at Bucktail High School. He retired in 1986. He coached football and basketball at Bucktail High School.He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He graduated from St. Joseph High School then attended Lock Haven College and graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Education.He served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War.He was a member of the Elks and an avid Penn State football fan. He was also an avid basketball fan.Raymond enjoyed family vacations in Canada, fishing, family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife: one son Kevin (Tracie) Hirlinger of Mill Hall also two daughters Karen (Rick) Miller of Williamsport and Ruth (Mark) Allen of Ofallon, IL. 8 grandchildren Erica, Daniel, Andrew, Matthew, Stephen, Alicia, Tyler and Bryan and 3 great-grandchildren. He is survived by a brother Paul Hirlinger of Lebanon, PA.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m, Thursday, Sept, 11, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave, with the Rev. Charles Ugo officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service.Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Improvement Fund or Bucktail Medical Center, 1001 Pine Street, S.
