Richard "Dick" Allison, 75, of Marsh Creek died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Centre Community Hospital.
Born April 19, 1926, in Axemann, he was a son of the late Ray and Mary Loder Allison.
On April 27, 1945, in Howard, he married Charlotte L. Woomer, who survives at home.
He was a 1944 graduate of Howard High School and held various professional certificates.
He was the purchasing manager for Gaster's Steel and was part owner of J and R Gravely. He was a maintenance supervisor of High Steel in Williamsport, retiring in 1991.
He belonged to the Pleasant Valley Brotherhood and was a participant in the Centre Community Men's Choir. He served as past district governor of the Pennsylvania Lion's Club Chapter 146. He belonged to the Howard Area Lion's Club.
He enjoyed singing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
He was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Marsh Creek.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Judy R. Spangler of Bellefonte; a son, Steven E. Allison of Bellefonte; two sisters, Jane Harlan of Arlington, Va., and Lois Belitsa of Northumberland; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday at W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 837 Main St., Howard.
The Lions Club will conduct a service at 8:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Marsh Creek Road in Bellefonte, with the Rev. Wayne Shamer officiating.
Burial will be in Schenks Cemetery in Howard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in care of Rev. Wayne Shamer, 1216 Run ville Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
