- NORTHUMBERLAND — Lois Allison Belitsa, 93, of 107 Ridgeway, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at the Nottingham Village Skilled Nursing Center. She was a former resident of Lewisburg.
Loving wife of the late Theodore F. Belitsa, she was also predeceased by her parents, Ray and Mary Blanche (Loder) Allison, her brothers, Austin, Joe, Reed, Arch and Dick and her sisters, Madge, Jeanette and Jane.
She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Lois was born in Jacksonville on Dec. 20, 1920. She met Ted while living in Washington, D.C. and working for Capital Transit.
They were married on June 7, 1947 at Holy Comforter Catholic Church in Washington D.C. Their marriage lasted for 62 wonderful years, and they were inseparable until Ted’s death in August of 2009.
Lois faithfully atttended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lewisburg where she was active in the Parish Council of Catholic Women and served as Eucharistic minister.
Lois was a loyal volunteer, with over 7,000 hours of service, for many years at Evangelical Community Hospital where she will be missed by many.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday August 25, at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Msgr. William M. Richardson as celebrant.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
