    • 04/1946 - Mrs. Mary HOLTER SCHENCK, one of the oldest residents of the Howard area, died at her home near Howard on Tuesday, 30 Apr 1946 at the ag e of 90 years, 2 months and 27 days. She was a daughter of Jacob and Cat herine PLETCHER HOLTER and was born in Howard township on 3 Feb 1856. On 27 Dec 1874, she was married to Bower SCHENCK who died some years ago. Surviving are two children Charles SCHENCK of Howard, R.D. and Mrs. Ellis PLETCHER of Howard; a brother Shuman HOLTER, aged 95 of Elmira NY; 5 gr- ch and 4 gr-gr-ch. Member of the Hunter Run Methodist Church, the Women' s Christian Service Society at Hunter Run and the Howard WCTU. Interment in Schenck Cemetery.
