- Shirley Lavone Workman Strunk passed peacefully from this life on March 2, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Arthur McKinley and Goldie Grace Merrill Workman. She was born May 22, 1926 in Woolrich, Pa.
Shirley married the late Leroy W. Strunk on March 22, 1947.
Surviving are five children, Will (Carolyn), Donald (Sharon), Sherry, Casey (Wendy), and Phillip (Lesa). She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 7 Great-Grand Children and one on the way.
She was surrounded by her children at the time of her death. The family would like to thank the AseraCare Hospice for their faithful service during the last few weeks.
A Celebration Service will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Friends will be welcomed from 10-11 am followed by the service at Kader-Neff Funeral Home on Main Street, Howard. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Howard Christian Church (Walnut Street) and/or AseraCare Hospice (1015 Logan Blvd., Altoona, PA. 16602).
