    • Miller Rezin Allton, 78, one of North Union township's best known residents, died at 8:35 o'clock Thursday evening in his home on the old Pittsburgh road following a lingering illness resulting from a stroke last November. He had been a resident of that section for the last 23 years. Mr. Allton was a member of Uniontown Third Presbyterian church, of the John Knox Bible class of this congregation and of Menallen Grange. Except for 14 years, when he served as yard master at Puritan, Herbert, Allison and Garwood coke plants, the deceased had engaged in the farm and dairy business. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Cora Newcomer Allton, and two children, Elzie Allton, at home, and Mrs. Harold Hagerty of Smithfield. Seven grandchildren also survive, including Mildred, Harold, Jr., James Edward, Alice, Louise and Robert Hagerty and Rarald and Edna Idella Allton.
      Two children, Samuel Orville and Lena Leonora, preceded him in death. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
