Milesburg, Pennsylvania - Marjorie L. "Midge" Fetzer Sampsel, 92 of Milesburg passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at CentreCare. Midge was born on September 18, 1929, in Milesburg the daughter of the late Lee P. and Margaret Bathurst Fetzer. On September 15, 1950, she married Philip Sampsel who preceded her in death on December 29, 2016. Midge is survived by her 2 sons, Jeffrey (Marcia) Sampsel of Dover, DE and Stephen A. Sampsel of Coleville and her daughter, Jennifer L. Kellerman of Bellefonte; also surviving are her grandchildren, Bryan Sampsel, Andrew Kellerman, Sara Robison, Heather Donovan, and her great grandchildren, Cole Sampsel, Hannah Sampsel, Jack Kellerman and Julien Robison.
Midge was a member of the Milesburg Methodist Church, church choir and was the church treasurer, she served on many different committees. She enjoyed gardening and did volunteering for many different organizations; especially at Centre Crest where she volunteered for 35 years with the auxiliary. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Lee Fetzer and O.Thomas Fetzer.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 10 AM- 11 AM at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg, with the funeral service to follow at 11 AM with Rev. Nancy Hale and Rev. Carl E. Hill officiating. Burial will be in Eagle Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co. Memorial contributions may be made to the Milesburg United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 535, Milesburg, Pa 16853 in Memory of Marjorie L.
