Howard, Pennsylvania - Robert E. Novosel, 78, of Howard, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his home. He was born in Bellefonte on October 13, 1943, a son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Young Novosel. He was a graduate of Bellefonte H.S. Class of 1961.
In 1963 he was united in marriage to Janet Vonada who survives at their home. Bob worked at Scientific Systems, Cerro, and in 1972, launched Novosel Instruments where he was still involved until the present. He was one of the original founders of the Marion-Walker Little League. He was a life member of the Walker Township Fire Co., and a member of the Rock Run Camp, Locust Spring Camp, and the Bald Eagle Rifle League, where he served as treasurer. He enjoyed building muzzleloaders and had been building them since 1964. He was a Penn State fan and Dale Earnhardt fan. He was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, Bellefonte.
Along with his wife he is survived by a daughter, Laurie (Ralph) Capparelle, two sons, Jeffrey (Holly Grove) Novosel, and Kevin Novosel, two grandchildren, Nathan Capparelle, Abbie (Dominic) Duck, and three great grandchildren, Paisley, Kanyon, and Sawyer, sisters, Margery Bradley, Christine (Lanny) King, Holly Hanson, and a brother, Michael (Margaret) Novosel, a sister-in-law, Lois Novosel and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, C. John Novosel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte on Friday, January 28,2022 at 11: 00 A. M. with Father Brian Saylor as celebrant. Friends will be received at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 West Main St., Howard on Thursday January 27, 2022, from 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Centre Crossings Hospice, 2437 Commercial Blvd. Suite 6, State College, PA. 16801, or to St. John The Evangelist Catholic School, at 134 East Bishop St., Bellefonte, PA. 16823. Burial will be at Hublersburg Cemetery at the family's convenience.
