- Dennis Morgan Confer, 74, of Howard, passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 at Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born in Lock Haven on Oct. 15, 1947, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Dora Haines Confer.
Denny was a 1965 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On Feb. 12, 1966, he married the former Linda Ellen Young, who survives in Howard.
Denny was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Phillies. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and mowing the lawn. His love for scratch-off lottery tickets was known by many.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two sons, Michael (Ilene) Confer of Beech Creek and Jeffrey (Kelly) Confer of Howard; a sister, Patricia (Steve) Fickes of Howard; four grandchildren: Nina Heck and Hannah, Brooke and Chase Confer; and three great-grandchildren, Autumn and Summer Heck and AJ Watkins.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Faith Chapel United Methodist Church, 551 Hunter Run Road, Howard, PA 16841 with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.
Friends and family will be received at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Private burial will be held at Schenck’s Cemetery, Howard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Chapel United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
