Howard, Pennsylvania - Janet L. Blair, 86 of Howard passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was born on May 23, 1935 in Marsh Creek the daughter of the late Earnest & Alma Heverly Wert.
She was united in marriage December 1952 to Donald G. Blair, he preceded her in death in 1973.
Janet enjoyed yard sales, cooking, crocheting, and canning, but more than anything she loved spending time with her grandkids and spoiling them anytime she could.
She is survived by three sons, Donald (Dora) of Bellefonte, Ernie (Army) of Bellefonte, and Jon "Keith" (Cathie) Blair of Howard, five daughters, Donna (Ray) Reed of Howard, Sherry (James) Conklin of Milesburg, Darlene "Cricket" Mallory of Mill Hall, Zeta Smoyer of Bellefonte, Edna (Greg) Furrow of Snow Shoe, one brother Lynn (Joyce) Wert, four sisters Elva McCormick, Helen (Dennis) Watson, Doris (Robert) Smith, and Carol (Ernie) Williams, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death along with her husband by a granddaughter, Lacey Nicole Blair, and a son-in-law, Doyle Smoyer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howard United Mehtodist Church, Main Street, Howard, with the Pastor Criag Rose officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery, Howard.
