- Wilbur Austin Brumbaugh Jr., known as "Brumy," "Web," or "Jr.", of Nittany, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2012.
Wilbur was born Dec. 3, 1927 in Tyrone, a son of the late Wilbur A. and Ida M. Brumbaugh of Tyrone.
He graduated from Howard High School.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired from West Penn Power Company, Nittany Division, after 37 years.
He was a member of the Lamar United Methodist Church.
Wilbur was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Rifle League, shooting for the Liberty Township team.
He also spent many enjoyable moments mentoring his children, grandchildren and other family members in the ways of the outdoors.
Wilbur was predeceased by his beloved wife, Edna M. (Bierly).
He leaves his daughter; his son; a granddaughter and a grandson.
He was from a large family with two brothers and four sisters. He was survived by two of his sisters.
The funeral was held at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard, with Pastor Joan L. Gordon officiating.
