      Mrs. Josephine M. Holter

      HOWARD – Mrs. Josephine M. Holter, 77, of Howard R.D. 1, who was pronounced dead early Tuesday at the Lock Haven Hospital, after becoming ill at the home of a son, was the former Josephine Pletcher, born here in Howard Twp. On March 12, 1897.

      She was the daughter of J. Linn and Laura Holter Pletcher.

      Mrs. Holter was twice married. Her first husband, Maurice Schenck, died in 1922; and her second, Samuel Holter, in 1959.

      She leaves four sons, Edwin Schenck, Howard R.D. 1; Nelson Holter, Pittsburgh; Russell Holter, Blanchard, where she had been living in recent weeks of ill health; and Linn Holter, Del Mar, Calif.

      There are four grandchildren, also a brother and sister, Michael H. Pletcher and Mrs. Rosella Rudisill, both of Bausman, Pa.

      Mrs. Holter was a member of Faith Chapel, United Methodist Church, and Howard Grange.

      HOLTER – Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, Howard, for Mrs. Josephine M. Holter, 77, of Howard R.D. 1, who was pronounced died at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 1974, at the Lock Haven Hospital. The Rev. Lawrence Focht will officiate. Interment, Schenck’s Cemetery, Howard Twp., Centre County. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening.
