- Darl E. Pletcher November 10 1942 March 31, 2018 Darl E. Pletcher, 75, of Bellefonte, passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Darl was born on November 10, 1942 in Lock Haven, PA a son of the late Harold D. and Anna Kovacic Pletcher. On October 7, 1966, he married the former Janet Pletcher, who survives at home. Also surviving is his son, Darian E. (Kathy) Pletcher of Bellefonte and his daughter, Melanie A. Greene of Centre Hall, his granddaughter Sierra Pletcher of Bellefonte and his grandson Mason Greene of Centre Hall, his brothers Jay (Marie) Pletcher of Blanchard ,and Wynn Pletcher of Lewisburg. Darl was a 1962 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. Darl was a correction officer at SCI Rockview from 1977- 2004. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Curtin United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Centre Hall American Legion Post 779. Darl enjoyed going to car shows, stock car races, he was a Dale Earnhart fan. He was owner Pletcher's Esso Gas Station in Howard from 1968- 1976. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Howard Lions Club c/o Bob Watson, 455 Ponderosa Drive, Howard, PA 16841 or to the Curtin United Methodist Church, 305 Curtin Village Road, Howard, PA 16841. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 4 P.M.- 5:30 P.M. at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, PA with Pastor Kathleen Danley officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
